Do you have expertise working with financial grant management and audit in an international context? The Norwegian Red Cross is seeking a Finance Grant Manager to work within the finance team at the International Program and Preparedness department. Sound finance management is important to ensure good quality in international projects. The position will focus on finance management of non-governmental grants and contribute to efficient financial grant management overview and follow-up, with a special focus on EU grant. The position plays a key role in managing the finance for EU and other non-governmental funded projects.
This position is placed in the Finance Team within the Finance and Grants Unit in the International Programmes and Preparedness Department of the Norwegian Red Cross in Oslo. The Finance and Grants Unit is responsible for the financial processes such as budget, audit and year-end processes for NorCross’ international work.

Arbeidsoppgaver
• Ensure sound finance grant management of non-governmental funds
• Be the focal point for financial donor requirements of non-governmental grants, with a special focus on EU funding
• Responsible for keeping the total overview of applications and reports for his/her area of responsibility, with a focus on management of exchange rates
• Responsible for ensuring that the Norwegian Red Cross has the necessary guidance and procedures to ensure sound financial management of non-governmental grants, and to oversee/monitor the financial management of such grants
• Contribute into Norwegian Red Cross audit process
• Cooperate with Norwegian Red Cross auditor and finance staff in the field on the annual project audits, including follow-up of annual audit reports and management letters for relevant donors
• Capacity building of Norwegian Red Cross staff on processes and procedures for Norwegian Red Cross
Kvalifikasjoner
- Three years of proven experience with financial management and financial grant management
- Preferably experience with financial management of EU-funding or similar
- Experience with annual audit processes and grant reporting to non-governmental donors
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance or similar. Preferable masters degree with background from audit.
- Advanced user of digital financial management tools (Microsoft Dynamics, excel, others)
- Proactive, systematic and detailed oriented working approach. Social and with a good ability to work within teams and internationally
- Proven experience with and ability to perform financial analysis.
- Fluency in English. Working proficiency in Norwegian (B2-Bergenstest), other languages are an advantage.
