This is an exciting opportunity to work in NRC’s Institutional Partnership Section (IPS) in the Partnerships and Policy Department (PnP). The Partnerships and Policy Department is responsible for NRC’s strategic relations with institutional donors and is the “centre of excellence” on business development and donor relations in NRC.
What we are looking for:The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly motivated, resilient, and dynamic Institutional Partnershipprofessional to join the Institutional Partnership Section in Oslo. The Institutional Partnership Adviser (IPA) is NRC’s expert adviser on institutional donors. As such, the IPA is responsible for strategic relations with these donors and for building internal capacity and maintaining a help desk on donor related issues.
This position is located in Oslo and is providing support to all Departments, Regional, Country and Representative Offices in NRC.
What you will do: Here are some of your specific responsibilities-
The Institutional Partnership Adviser is NRC’s lead expert adviser for institutional donors and its relations with NRC and this role will have a specific responsibility for development funding from Norad.

Assist with business development and fundraising from the donor

Analyse and share information internally in NRC on the policies and priorities of the donor

Establish and maintain close relations with key staff in the donor head office

Advise NRC colleagues on NRC’s relations with the donor and relevant funding opportunities and compliance issues

Maintain an overview of NRC’s past and present engagement with the donor

Undertake “donor mappings” upon request from NRC country offices and departments

Responsible for any prequalification processes in order to access donor funding

Network and advocate for improved financing conditions

This role will have specific responsibility for NRC’s global framework agreements with Norad Humanitarian and Sida. Tthis entails project management of the annual global proposal and reporting processes for Norad and Sida.

University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably at master’s degree level
-
Minimum 3 years of work experience from a humanitarian/development organisation and/or from a donor administration, either at Head Office/capital or field/embassy level

Documented results within fundraising, grants management and finance

Knowledge of Project Cycle Management, especially of the logical framework approach

A conscientious and structured person with strong planning skills, including computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and service mindedness

Fluency in English: excellent written skills are required. Fluency in Norwegian is an advantage.

Duty station: Oslo, Norway.

Contract: Permanent.

Travel: Up to 10%

Salary/benefits: Grade 8 on NRC’s Resident salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
