Teaching Assistant 

About the job

We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant in the Primary Department at BISS Gausel.
The position is 40%, part-time, and temporary. Start date is during week 41, or by arrangement with the Head of Primary.

We work hard to create a very special learning experience for our students. We seek to employ inspirational staff who respect every child, and believe that whatever background or prior learning the child has, they have the capacity to excel.
You will be working as part of a highly motivated and collaborative team, teaching a balanced curriculum that promotes the acquisition of key skills and behaviours through inquiry-based learning.

Qualifications and personal qualities

Full teacher assistant qualifications for international schools are preferred.
Experience as a teaching assistant may compensate for missing qualifications.

The succesful candidate will:

• be an excellent and experienced classroom practitioner
• be enthusiastic, open minded, proactive, responsible, flexible and team oriented
• have demonstrated skills in building a caring, nurturing and creative learning environment
• have excellent English skills, both written and oral
• have strong collaborative skills

Written and oral skills in Norwegian would be an advantage
