At Squarehead, we develop acoustic sensors capable of everything from detecting drones to providing full control in demanding security and industrial environments. In short: we give people super-hearing and situational awareness when it matters most.

We’re now looking for new teammates who enjoy variety, learning, and building systems that matter.

What you’ll do

Our main product is an array of 100+ tiny microphones, which, combined with some clever math and signal processing, enables us to zoom in on sound, and turn down the volume of the surroundings of the source of interest. In this way, we can for instance detect, locate and classify threats like drones, be it in the field or in a busy city.

Our frontend turns the API input from several such arrays into great situational awareness for the user. You will collaborate with the rest of the team to develop this frontend, using tools like TypeScript, React, Tauri and Rust. Quick decision making is critical for the operator, so a great user experience and highly responsive systems are both very important. The systems run both on the web, desktop and in mobile apps.
