About the role
Norrøna is seeking a world-class Head of Logistics to take full ownership of our global supply chain. As we scale our operations, we need a leader who combines extreme structural discipline with a strategic mindset for logistics flow. You will be the architect of our future distribution network, ensuring that every transaction---from factory to end-consumer---is handled with precision, speed, and cost-efficiency.
This role is pivotal for our global expansion, particularly as we establish a stronger presence in North America, Asia, and Oceania.
Key responsibilities
1. Global Warehouse & Distribution Management- Network Strategy: Oversee primary warehouse operations at DVS in Denmark and lead the establishment of local hubs in the UK, Canada, and the USA
- Asian Consolidation: Implement and manage a consolidation hub in Asia to facilitate direct shipping to North America, Asia, and Oceania, optimizing lead times and costs
- Omnichannel Excellence: Responsible for all outbound logistics and returns across B2B, B2C, and Retail channels
- System Architecture: Maintain a deep focus on transactional integrity within our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Operational Flow: Design and govern end-to-end logistical processes, ensuring 100% control over inventory movements and data accuracy
- Automation: Proactively initiate and lead the implementation of warehouse automation and digital tools to future-proof the supply chain
- Strategic Negotiation: Drive a culture of cost-efficiency. Negotiate freight, 3PL, and service agreements to ensure Norrøna always utilizes the most cost-effective solutions
- Customs & Compliance: Global responsibility for customs clearance and trade compliance. You will manage tariff classifications, duty optimization, and ensure seamless cross-border movement (especially for UK and North American markets)
Your profile
Technical & Professional Skills- The Structuralist: You are exceptionally process-oriented and structured. You thrive on creating order in complex environments
- ERP Expert: You have a profound understanding of logistics transactions. Experience with Business Central (BC) is highly preferred
- Financial Acumen: You possess a natural drive for cost-effectiveness and are a skilled negotiator who understands the "bottom line" impact of logistics
- Digital Native: You have a proven track record of driving digital transformation and implementing automated logistical solutions
- Global Expertise: Extensive experience with international shipping, Asian consolidation, and navigating complex customs regulations
- Language: Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic Thinker: You can see the big picture and anticipate future logistical needs before they arise
- Brand Ambassador: You identify with Norrøna’s values. You have a genuine passion for the outdoors
- Strong Leader: You are an excellent communicator who can lead teams and external partners across different cultures and time zones
