We are seeking a Business Development Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in Stavanger, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving sales of offshore mooring solutions across oil & gas, offshore wind, and other marine/offshore industries. The BDM will work both strategically and operationally to secure new projects, build long-term relationships, and ensure that our solutions meet stringent requirements for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
This role is ideal for those who thrive at the intersection of technology, projects, and sales. Someone who enjoys being close to customers whether in the office, at the yard, or in the field and is motivated by creating growth and seeing tangible results from their own efforts
Duties & Main Responsibilities
•Identify and prospect new customers and projects within Oil & Gas, Offshore wind and other offshore and marine operations.
•Build and develop relationships with operators, EPC contractors, and the supplier industry
•Schedule and conduct customer meetings and technical clarifications (both digital and in-person)
•Identify technical and commercial needs related to mooring
•Prepare and follow up on quotations, cost estimates, and tenders in collaboration with technical/project teams
•Negotiate commercial terms and ensure contract signing
•Contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategy for the offshore segment
•Monitor market trends, new fields/projects, and tender announcements
•Provide structured feedback to the organization regarding customer and market requirements
•Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
•Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline in CRM
•Systematically follow up on leads, inquiries, and ongoing tenders
•Report on activities, pipeline, and results to management
Required
•Experience in B2B sales within offshore/energy, preferably with operators or EPC contractors
•Advantageous to have a technical background or experience in Mooring systems, Subsea / marine operations, or Offshore construction/projects
•Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., DNV, ISO, API)
•Proven track record in project and solution-based sales
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
•Confident in engaging with customers at all levels -- from engineers to senior executives
•Proficient in using CRM systems and digital sales tools
•Experience with tendering and bid processes for large projects is an advantage
•Courses/certifications such as GWO/OPITO are beneficial but not mandatory
•Strong commercial acumen and ability to see the “big picture” in complex projects
•Proactive “hunter” mindset, eager to pursue new opportunities and build new relationships
•Clear and trustworthy communicator with both technical and commercial decision-makers
•Structured, organized, and comfortable working in a process-oriented manner (from lead to contract)
•Enjoys working in a smaller company with short decision-making lines and significant autonomy
