Oslo International School (OIS) is seeking a Chemistry Teacher who is committed to student-centred learning, brings excellent training and classroom practice, builds strong collegial relationships, and is enthusiastic about contributing to the continued growth of the Science programme and wider school life.
The Science Department at OIS is known for academic excellence and for nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation through inquiry-based learning. Our collaborative team delivers a dynamic curriculum that culminates in the IB Diploma science courses. Students are encouraged to engage with scientific ideas both inside and outside the classroom, with enrichment opportunities such as science fairs, Olympiads, and STEM activities.
Teachers are supported by the Science Team Leader, with the Head of Secondary as their line manager. This is a chance to work with experienced and welcoming colleagues and to make a valued contribution to a forward-thinking department.
We’re looking for someone who:-
Is a qualified teacher with a degree in Chemistry or a related field.

Has experience teaching Chemistry at the IB Diploma level (or equivalent).

Communicates confidently and effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Embraces international-mindedness and fosters inquiry-driven learning.

Builds strong relationships and works well with students, staff, and parents.

Is collaborative and reflective, with a willingness to contribute to interdisciplinary learning, co-curricular activities, and the broader life of the school.
