At Munu, we’re on a mission to transform how restaurants and bars run, grow, and thrive. We blend a deep love for food and technology with bold ambition by creating tools that simplify operations, elevate guest experiences, and empower hospitality teams to perform at their best.
You’ll join a fast-moving team scaling across the Nordics. We care deeply about quality, precision, and progress, backed by curiosity, humility, and a bias for action. We challenge ideas, not people. We share wins. We learn fast. And we never forget who we’re building for.
If you’re hungry to make an impact, to move quickly, build smart, and help shape the future of an entire industry- pull up a chair. About the Role
Imagine designing the moment a hungry guest orders their favorite meal. Making a guest feel safe and informed while their food is on the way. Or creating a great experience for a family browsing a menu for their celebration.
At Munu, we’re building the journeys that power these everyday moments in hospitality, and we’re looking for a Lead Product Designer for Team Guest to help us make them exceptional.
As our Lead Product Designer, you’ll own the design vision for all Munu guest-facing products; from digital ordering and takeaway to self-service kiosks, catering, and future guest touchpoints. This isn’t a role where you’re just pushing pixels or following someone else’s roadmap. You’ll be the design voice in an autonomous, mission-driven team, working closely with a Product Manager, Tech Lead, and engineers who genuinely care about craft and impact.
You’ll work across the full design spectrum: leading discovery with real customers in restaurants and cafés, mapping complex service journeys, facilitating workshops, prototyping solutions, and seeing your designs go live to thousands of guests across the Nordics- and soon across Europe. You’ll see the impact of your work not just in metrics, but in real life.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing at scale, stays close to users, wants real ownership of product direction, and thrives where design has a strong voice. Your Mission
Own the design direction
Lead design for Team Guest across takeaway, catering, kiosks, and future guest touchpoints. Set a high quality bar, balance strategy with hands-on work, and help shape Munu’s design methods as we scale.
Stay close to customers
Lead research, discovery, testing, and workshops with real guests and hospitality teams. Map end-to-end journeys, identify what truly matters, and see your designs used in real life.
Collaborate and enable
Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn ambition into shippable solutions. Partner across Munu, from Sales to Customer Success, to create cohesive experiences across products.
Shape the culture
Champion user-centered, accessible, and privacy-aware design. Facilitate critiques and help build a strong, outcome-driven design practice.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If...
-
You have 5+ years of experience designing digital products or services, with ownership from idea to delivery
-
You’re strong across the full design process: research, journey mapping, prototyping, interaction, and visual design
-
You think strategically and connect design decisions to real business outcomes
-
You communicate clearly and collaborate well in cross-functional, agile teams
-
You take initiative, are comfortable with ambiguity, and own outcomes- not just deliverables
-
You are fluent in Norwegian and English, spoken and written
-
You’re driven to solve real problems for real people
-
Owning the guest experience across Munu’s products, from ordering to pickup, kiosks, and catering
-
Making life easier for guests and hospitality teams in ways people actually notice
-
Spending time outside Figma: talking to guests and staff, testing ideas early, and learning from real use
-
Turning complex journeys into experiences that feel simple, calm, and intuitive
-
Working closely with Product and Engineering to find the best solutions- and shipping them
-
Helping maintain high quality as we grow through sound judgment and shared principles
-
Seeing your work used in real life, learning from it, and improving it continuously
-
Contributing to Munu’s design culture- open, curious, inclusive, and human
-
Caring more about outcomes and impact than pixel-perfect deliverables
-
Feeling comfortable collaborating in both Norwegian and English
-
You’ll join a company with deep industry knowledge and a mission that matters- empowering hospitality teams with better tools
-
You’ll help shape how a core business function is built, scaled, and refined- not just follow a playbook
-
You’ll work with smart, kind, ambitious people across the Nordics, with zero ego and full accountability
-
You’ll have the freedom to test, fail, learn, and try again- with the support and tools to do your best work
-
You get to grow with us, with room to develop your role and responsibilities over time
