We are hiring a Business Development Manager to spearhead our efforts in two of our core markets in Norway and Europe.
APL is one of the world’s leading providers of innovative mooring technologies for offshore energy projects since 1993.
Its foundation was based on the need for more reliable mooring and fluid transfer systems in harsh environments and APL has built a very strong market share in the FPSO, FSO, FLNG and FSRU part of the market.
As the world expands its energy portfolio to lower-carbon sources (such as Floating Offshore Wind, CO2 transfer and injection, terminals for Ammonia and hydrogen), APL will continue to be at the forefront of this energy evolution, continuously growing and diversifying our core engineering, manufacturing, and project management expertise to offer new and exciting opportunities.
The role is based in Norway, ideally near our main office in Arendal.
Candidates located in cities such as Oslo, Stavanger, or Kristiansand are however encouraged to apply.
Relocation flexibility is available for strong candidates.
Key tasks and responsibility:- Through a thorough understanding of the market; identify potential new clients and build relationships with them.
- Maintain good relationships with existing clients.
- Encouraging innovation within NOV APL.
- Market APL products in new energy sector and oil and gas.
- Involve in conceptual review for prospect.
- Propose commercial strategy for prospect.
- Final review of the quality and completeness of bid submission.
- Prequalification of APL in clients’ approved vendor list.
- Managed APL accounts in clients’ VDMS system.
- Excellent understanding of technical, contractual and commercial aspects of offshore technology, engineering, procurement, construction and installation contracts.
- Well connected to the client base in the markets where APL is operating
- Structured and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate and negotiate in a solution oriented and constructive fashion.
- Ability to transform problems into challenges/ solutions.
- Good inter-personal skill.
- Strong communication skills and multiple language capability is highly desired for customer engagement purposes.
- Science or Bachelor's Degree Business/ Economics/ Engineering.
- Minimum 8 - 15 years of similar experience with engineering or project management, sales, business development, in offshore oil and gas, energy, renewables, low carbon industries.
- Regional travelling is required.
