The skills desirable of the incumbent are:

•Excellent understanding and knowledge of primary/Key Stage 1-2/IB phase 1-2 education and student development

•Excellent classroom leadership and management skills

•IB experience (especially of PYP)

•Good teamwork, communication and collaborative skills

•Flexibility, enthusiasm and professionalism

•Understanding and experience of living and working in Nordic Europe

However, above all, we are looking for an open, flexible and excellent PYP class teacher.

The successful applicant would need to have an up-to-date police certificate, be fully qualified as a teacher, and if trained from outside Norway need NOKUT approval for teaching in Norway:

Arbeidsoppgaver

The position is a permanent full-time post within PYP (Grades 1-6), and you will be responsible for teaching and learning of a class of up to 21 students. The position will be part of the school's teacher pay scale.

The position will include the following areas of responsibility:

•Curriculum leadership and management for a PYP class

•Academic and pastoral care

•Team planning

•Assessment and student monitoring of progress
