At Pure Salmon Technology, we are developing digital solutions for the aquaculture industry`s future. Our digital platform, Njord, offers advanced functionalities for monitoring, control, and analysis of land-based fish farming.
We are now looking for a Product Designer (UX) who will help shape the user’s experience of a platform that combines advanced technology with biological insight. You will play a key role in designing intuitive and efficient interfaces that support operators, biologists, and technical professionals in their daily work.

You will be working on the development of the user interface for the Njord platform, with a strong focus on intuitive design and high performance. Your role will involve translating functional requirements from the product owner into interactive and accessible solutions, ensuring that our modules are experienced as cohesive and user-friendly.

Designing and improving GUI components for the Njord platform

Collaborating in cross-functional teams to ensure design decisions align with operational needs and technical frameworks

Implementing and maintaining design standards and component libraries in close cooperation with the development team

Conducting user testing and iterating on solutions based on feedback from both internal and external users

Contributing to the branding and visual identity of the Njord platform

You have relevant education and preferably a few years of work experience, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply

Proficiency in UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar

Experience with graphic design tools like Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, or similar

Ability to understand complex user needs and translate them into intuitive solutions

Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Since 2010, Pure Salmon Technology has delivered land-based aquaculture production sites with RAS-technology (Recirculating Aquaculture System) along the Norwegian coastline. From small and medium sized plants to some of the world’s largest smolt facilities. Satisfied clients include global leaders in salmon farming such as MOWI, SalMar and Lerøy.
