Join our team as Department Manager!

We are looking for a Department Manager to lead our Process and Fish welfare department in Sandefjord, Norway. Working with the engineering unit of the company, this position will be given the mandate to lead a department dedicated to delivering RAS solutions to our projects focused on fish welfare and process excellence.

Position Overview:

The Department Manager responsibilities include managing people, developing annual roadmaps and handling department budgets. Ensure that the department has sufficient competence and capacity to carry out tasks within process engineering in all core activities. Allocate personal as per request from customers and internal departments. Further develop fish welfare as a competitive advantage in the market for Pure Salmon Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting strategic long and short-term departmental goals and evaluating outcomes

• Responsible for integrating and developing the fish welfare and process functions within the department

• Develop annual roadmaps and managing a departmental budget and forecasting budgetary requirements

• Line management for the department employees

• Personal and professional development incl. appraisals

• On-boarding of new staff members in the department

• Professional responsibility for the department

• Ensure that the department has the right work processes, methods, and tools

Qualifications:

• Technical higher education or relevant experience from a similar position

• Experience of managing people

• Good communication skills

• Able to understand and balance focus between people, technology and business

• Project experience/understanding is preferred
