Factiverse, an award-winning ML/NLP startup dedicated to credibility and digital trust, is seeking a senior back-end and ML engineer to help us scale our API solutions. Our target audience includes B2B professionals like journalists, consultants, and analysts, who rely on our solutions to automate research, detect factual errors, and make informed decisions.

You will work closely with some of the brightest minds in ML/NLP in Norway, our CTO and associate professor in machine learning, Vinay Setty.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and specific experience in Python, cloud technologies, Terraform, and MLOps.

This position offers workplace flexibility. Depending on individual needs and preferences, employees can work from home, at the company office in Mesh Oslo or at I-Park in Stavanger. If you are working remotely, we would like you to live in a timezone similar to ours and be able to visit our offices once a month.

We have raised funding, secured our first API customers, and expanding the team.

🔑 Key Responsibilities 🔑

Work closely with the CTO and backend team to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models into production.

Build scalable and robust backend systems to support our AI-powered applications.

Implement cutting-edge ML workflows and pipelines for efficient model training and deployment.

Automate and optimize our MLOps processes.

Maintaining scalability and performance of our cloud-based applications so that developed features are ready to meet the company’s international ambitions.

Collaborate closely with the rest of the interdisciplinary product development.

🎯 Qualifications 🎯

Proficiency in Python programming is a must, with experience in web development frameworks such as FastAPI.

Expertise in cloud technologies; GCP and Terraform certification is a plus.

Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

Strong MLOps skills, including containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and monitoring tools.

Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is advantageous.

Knowledge of database technologies such as MongoDB.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferably at least 5 years of experience.
