As a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Heat Trace (HT), you will contribute essential technical expertise to the development and follow‑up of electrical heat tracing solutions across a range of projects. The role involves designing and verifying heat trace requirements in accordance with P&IDs and project specifications, maintaining accurate engineering register data, and conducting heat trace analyses to ensure safe, efficient and compliant system performance. You will collaborate closely with fabrication teams, installation personnel and multidisciplinary engineering groups, responding to technical queries and supporting effective coordination across interfaces.
You will take an active role in meetings between engineering and fabrication, ensuring alignment and resolving technical challenges as they arise. The position also includes contributing to the improvement of work methods and engineering processes, with a particular emphasis on digitalisation and optimisation of tools and workflows. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to operate effectively within complex project environments where accuracy, communication and collaboration are critical.
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree or Technical College combined with minimum 12 years of relevant Norwegian Continental Shelf experience

Minimum 6 years of experience with electrical heat trace design, preferably within O&G projects on the NCS, offshore wind or onshore facilities

Minimum 2 years of experience generating heat trace ISOs from Aveva E3D

Deep knowledge of the regulatory frameworks governing our industry.

Ability to develop cost‑effective solutions tailored to the relevant application

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
