We are looking for a skilled and motivated Digital ASIC Designer who wants to contribute to the next generation of realtime 3D ultrasound technology. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and want your work to make a real impact in medical diagnostics, this role will suit you well.

Our client's e4D team is responsible for developing and testing the integrated circuits that enable advanced real time 3D ultrasound imaging systems. The department works at the intersection of digital design, signal processing, and mixedsignal integration, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and innovation. Current and future goals include pushing the boundaries of ultrasound image quality, improving system efficiency, and enabling new clinical capabilities through cutting edge ASIC development.

You will join a highly competent and collaborative team consisting of eight employees and several consultants. The team brings together a wide range of experience-from 5 to over 30 years-and backgrounds spanning electronics engineering and software development at BSc and MSc levels.

In this role you will take a central part in developing the digital functionality of our mixed signal ultrasound ASICs. The work is varied and technically challenging, involving everything from early stage concept evaluation to hands on validation in the lab. You will work closely with experienced colleagues across verification, backend, and system design, contributing to algorithm modelling, RTL development, documentation, and debugging of prototypes and evaluation boards.
You will also:

• Design and document digital architectures and subsystems for mixed signal ultrasound ASICs.

• Model, evaluate, and verify signal processing concepts prior to RTL implementation.

• Support the full ASIC development flow, including collaboration with verification/backend teams and hands on lab validation.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a structured and detail oriented working style. You take responsibility, follow tasks through to completion, and thrive in an environment where precision and collaboration are essential. You work well with others, are solution oriented, and bring genuine engagement to complex development challenges.
In addition, you will have:

• MSc in Electronics

• Solid competence in VHDL

• Strong understanding of digital signal processing

• Good English skills, both written and spoken

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with Verilog

• Prior experience with ultrasound systems

• Norwegian language skills, spoken and/or written

It is a prerequisite that you hold a valid work and residence permit for Norway.
