Project description
We are seeking a dedicated, creative and enthusiastic engineer at our Department of Radiation Biology. The position is available for 1.5 years with possibility for extension. At Department of Radiation Biology we work to understand radiotherapy resistance and develop new treatment strategies for cancer patients based on radiation. Our activity includes basic, biological studies, and translational and clinical work.
The position is associated with Heidi Lyng's research activity on clinical radiation biology. The selected candidate will work on a project were image data from digital histopathology are combined with large scale molecular data in tumor biopsies to achieve a better understanding of the radioresistance of cancer diseases. A central task will be to run our digital histopathology platform and to implement new analysis methods in the platform. The project is highly cross-disciplinary, with vital contributions from biology, immunology, physics and oncology, and the candidate will work in a team with biologists, physicists and clinicians.
Oslo University Hospital is a workplace with great diversity. We believe this is essential to perform the tasks required of us. Therefore, we pursue diversity among our job applicants and encourage everyone to apply regardless of who you are and what background you have.
