Who Are You?

We are looking for a leader who enjoys responsibility and understands the complete picture of hotel operations.

You are comfortable moving between financial reports, staffing plans, customer meetings and the daily operation of the hotel.

You see opportunities, but you also understand that successful hospitality is built on structure, good routines, motivated employees and attention to detail.

We believe you have:

• Relevant experience from hotels, hospitality, tourism or a similar operational business

• Leadership and personnel management experience

• Strong understanding of operational and financial management

• Experience with cost control and performance monitoring

• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in sales

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• The ability to lead several departments and priorities simultaneously

• A hands-on and solution-oriented leadership style

• Good English communication skills

Scandinavian language skills are an advantage.

Arbeidsoppgaver

The Role

As Operational Manager, you will be the central link between management and the daily hotel operation.

Your responsibility is to ensure that our departments work together as one team and one business, with clear priorities and a shared focus on our guests, employees, quality and profitability.

You will combine hands-on operational leadership with financial management, staff development, sales and commercial follow-up.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate the daily operation of the hotel

• Manage and support the Head Chef/F&B Manager, Front Office Manager and Executive Housekeeper

• Ensure strong cooperation and communication between all operational departments

• Financial management and ongoing performance monitoring

• Budget follow-up, cost control and KPI management

• Workforce planning together with department managers

• Overall personnel management and development of the leadership team

• Follow-up of sick leave, working environment and HR procedures

• Overall responsibility for HSE, regulatory requirements and internal control

• Ensure that procedures, documentation, inspections and deviations are properly followed up

• Lead regular operational and management meetings

• Plan staffing and capacity based on upcoming bookings, groups and events

• Take an active role in sales and commercial development

• Follow up tour operators, group business, corporate clients and other key customer segments

• Ensure efficient, high-quality and profitable operations

• Report regularly to the General Manager

Live Lofoten is developing its position as a hotel for groups, tour operators, corporate clients and international guests.

The Operational Manager will therefore play an important role not only in running the hotel, but also in developing the business.
