What is the role all about?
As Business Controller at Orkla Foods, you will play a central role in driving financial insight and performance management across our PortCo. Working closely with Head of Finance and other core stakeholders, you will support decision-making through accurate reporting, meaningful analysis, and proactive business partnering. The role offers the opportunity to work across a broad set of topics. You will be part of a high-performing team based at Orkla Foods headquarters in Oslo and collaborate closely with our business units. The role will report to Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• As Business Controller you will have the day-to-day responsibility for internal reporting processes, including monthly/quarterly profit reporting, budget/forecasting, risk and various ad hoc analysis.
• You will be a driving force in developing management reporting framework across business units to help improve understanding of trends and key drivers over time.
• You will take an active role in following up business units on a continuous basis in partnership with Head of Finance and rest of the finance team.
• Once you get into the role you should also have capacity to support other central functions of the PortCo and participate in operational and strategic projects to help developing and building improvement and growth areas for Orkla.

Whether you're early in your finance career or already experienced, we value the ability to translate financial data into business insight, challenge constructively, and take initiative.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in finance, controlling, business analysis, or related fields. Backgrounds from consulting, audit, or operational roles are also welcome.
• Strong business understanding and ability to connect financial figures with commercial impact.
• High proficiency in Excel and relevant tools such as Tagetik, PowerPoint, and BI systems.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and cultures.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written, and one Scandinavian language preferred but not required.
