Are you ready to make a significant impact on how technology empowers our people and propels business growth? Do you thrive in hands-on roles where you can plan, execute, and continuously improve IT operations? We are looking for an IT Operations Engineer (mid–senior level) to join our team, based in Oslo, to own everything from day-to-day support to advanced automation and platform governance.
As an IT Operations Engineer, you will ensure our technology solutions align with—and accelerate—our business goals. You’ll take ownership of both routine and strategic IT projects, maintain smooth daily operations, and champion innovations like AI integrations. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you’ll collaborate across departments and help shape how IT supports every aspect of our company.
What you'll do as an IT Operations Engineer
- Plan & Deliver IT Projects: Collaborate with the IT Manager on a wide range of initiatives—from office moves and hardware refreshes to AI tool rollouts—ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
- Maintain & Optimize Critical Systems: Ensure reliability and security across our Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Azure AD/Entra ID (SSO, RBAC, MFA), Intune, and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, JSM).
- Deliver IT Support: Participate in rotating weekly helpdesk coverage, handling technical support requests such as software deployments, endpoint troubleshooting, A/V and meeting room setup and network connectivity issues. Deliver on-site, in-person support for the Oslo office and collaborate with the team members to resolve more complex, cross-functional challenges.
- Automate & Integrate Workflows: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts, Power Automate and Logic Apps flows, and Graph API integrations—including Copilot and ChatGPT-based solutions—to streamline onboarding, license provisioning, deployments, and compliance workflows.
- Advise & Enable Business Teams: Act as a partner to internal departments—identifying needs, recommending best-fit tools, and delivering training and documentation (runbooks, FAQs, how-tos) that foster self-service.
- Support Compliance & Security: Collaborate with the Security team to uphold ISO 27001 and GDPR standards—by implementing security baselines, automating entitlement reviews, and supporting audit and access reporting.
What we're looking for in an IT Operations Engineer
- Technical Expertise: 3–6 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, PowerShell, and Power Automate/Logic Apps.
- Integration Skills: Strong experience working with APIs and building integrations using scripts (ex. PowerShell, Python). Bonus if familiar with Microsoft Graph or REST-based integrations.
- Tool Proficiency: Strong administration skills with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, JSM).
- Strategic Thinking: You look beyond tickets and tasks—spotting opportunities where IT can improve efficiency, reduce risk, and unlock value.
- Proactive & Curious: You keep pace with evolving trends (AI, low-code platforms, endpoint security), and know how to test and scale the right solutions.
- Technical Project Delivery: You take ownership of end-to-end technical initiatives—driving progress, resolving blockers efficiently, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery through structured execution and smart collaboration.
- Clear Communicator: You translate complex tech into plain language, earn trust from stakeholders, and create documentation and training that enables others.
- Adaptable & Resilient: In an environment shaped by growth and change, you thrive on variety and see every challenge as a chance to innovate.
Benefits
As well as your salary, you'll receive:
- Financial and Health Security: Benefit from a comprehensive pension and insurance package, plus private healthcare.
- Your Well-being, Your Way: Take advantage of our wellness contribution to stay on top of your health.
- Tech Tools for Efficiency: Get the job done with a choice of laptop (mac / PC), mobile phone & subscription, and a home internet allowance..
