Design Engineer

Sub Sea Services have expanded into worldwide markets, being the vendor of choice for Oilfield Engineering Services and wholly owned patented products for Oilfield equipment. As part of our Engineering Team, you will have access to varied and challenging work tasks, from engineering innovation, concepts, development, calculations, construction, digitization and production for the company's various ventures.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support projects with 3D modeling, drawings, and calculations

• Use tools like Autodesk Inventor, Nastran In-CAD, Ansys, and Mathcad

• Create production-ready drawings for machining and welding

• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to test your designs

• Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and manage documentation in Vault

• Understand how smart design choices impact cost control and project success

• Stay up to date with industry standards like DNV, API, ISO, and ASME

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to verify and improve designs

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or similar tools

• Knowledge of Mathcad and hand calculations.

• NASTRAN or ANSYS FEA/FEM software familiarity.

• Written and oral Norwegian and/or English communication skills.
