Subject matter expert, Compliance & Export Control Officer
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated subject matter expert to work with export control and customer/supplier screening related to new sales and aftermarket deliveries to both sailing vessels and newbuilds.
To succeed in this role, you must be analytical and able to work in a structured and goal-oriented manner. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to convey information clearly to various stakeholders. Additionally, you should enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to a positive work environment in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
This position involves following internal due diligence processes in accordance with Neuver Maritime’s procedures and sales guidelines. You will also play a key role in streamlining and further developing these processes and be man point of contact for export control and screening tasks within Neuver Maritime.
Key Responsibilities:-
Serve as a subject matter expert on export control and screening tasks within Neuver Maritime

Develop the field of Compliance with Neuver in close cooperation with the broader organisations and QHSE departments

Follow and contribute to the development of internal due diligence processes in line with Neuver Maritime’s sales procedures and guidelines

Collaborate closely with Neuver Maritime’s sales departments and Neuver Maritime’s customer facing teams.

Use third-party tools to screen vessels and customers (e.g. SeaSearcher, BvD)

Identify and implement IT-enabled improvements to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency

Report sanction risks

Contribute to refining procedures and processes as needed

Apply for export licenses in Norway (DEKSA/E-Lisens)

Solid knowledge of tools such as CRM, ERP systems, and SeaSearcher
-
Familiarity with compliance tools such as Compliance Catalyst (Moody’s)

Solid understanding and practical experience with U.S., EU, and UK sanctions laws and regulations

Strong collaboration skills and a proactive mindset

Experience working in multinational teams across time zones
-
Experience with spare parts sales is an advantage but not a requirement

Proficiency in English is required, as it is the working language

Knowledge of and experience from the maritime industry is an advantage
