Risk \& Compliance Manager

We are looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager. This is not a box-ticking role, R&C in Vipps Mobilepay is an independent control function that is involved early in challeging and assisting teams in reaching their objectives in a sound and safe manner. We have a clear impact on our products and services.

The role

We are a Nordic fintech R&C team building a world-class, risk-based, AI-native function with real influence on products, processes, controls and decisions. . The work spans topics like systems, suppliers, outsourcing, payments, login, loyalty, marketing, data, AI, security, privacy and a stream of new initiatives! You will turn risk, regulation and judgment into actionable advice and controls in products reaching millions.

We are a team of 13 risk, compliance, privacy, and security managers, spread between Oslo, Copenhagen, and Helsinki. This role is Oslo-based, reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

You will:

• identify risks and help implement measures that improve our products, systems and processes
• advise engineers, product managers, designers, marketers, sales, management and enabling functions
• work with technology risks including information security, privacy, compliance, vendors, AI governance and other regulatory requirements
• build and manage pragmatic frameworks for risk management, controls, and reporting
• assist in incidents, audits, attestations, supervisory inspectoins and regulatory processes
• use AI, prompts/skills, agents and automation where they improve quality, speed or control
• build risk culture close to where decisions are made

• have professional proficiency in English; a Nordic language is an advantage
