We’re looking for a senior UX/UI designer who can turn deep technical complexity into experiences people trust. Someone who has built products from concept to launch, understands systems beyond individual screens, and knows that early interaction decisions define everything that scales after.

Your mission

As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Starflow, you'll translate our systems-level vision into tangible, validated, and buildable digital experiences, ensuring execution matches ambition.

By designing strong interaction foundations, rapidly exploring and validating ideas, and setting early direction for a distinctive UI language, you'll define a new standard for residential energy experiences.

Working hand in hand with leadership and engineering, you'll balance ambition with focus, transforming complexity into confidence. Here are some of the challenges that awaits you:

You'll design something people need to trust for years
This isn't a feature they'll use for a few months. You're building an experience people will rely on long-term. Your decisions about clarity and interaction models need to hold up, because changing them later gets expensive fast.

You'll solve problems where digital alone isn't enough
The constraints will break your favorite patterns. You'll need to think beyond the screen, figuring out how the full experience works together. It's messy, there's no template, and you'll have to invent solutions.

You'll build the foundation with nothing to reference
No existing category to study. No design system to start from. You're defining what good looks like from scratch. You'll get things wrong, learn fast, and eventually create something that works.

You'll ship something where the experience determines adoption
If what you design feels unclear or hard to trust, people won't commit. If it feels solid, they will. The quality of your work isn't just polish - it directly affects whether this succeeds.

You'll validate constantly because guessing is too expensive
Prototype, test, iterate. Find problems before they get built. Kill work that doesn't pass the test. If you need certainty or get attached to solutions, this will be hard.

How you'll work

You'll work directly with engineering from the start. Technical constraints shape your designs early, not after you've finished. You'll catch edge cases together, solve problems as they come up, and figure out solutions when something can't be built as designed. Real collaboration.

Paul, our strategic design lead, will push your thinking daily. He owns the systems-level vision and thinks deeply about interaction models and cross-touchpoint experiences. You'll learn from how he approaches complexity while focusing on execution and getting things built.

The pace is fast. You'll prototype quickly, test early, learn from what breaks, and ship. If you need weeks to feel ready or struggle to let go of work, this won't fit. But if rapid iteration and learning from real feedback energizes you, you'll thrive here.

Who we're looking for

We need someone who's done this before - not exactly this - but hard enough problems that you know what matters and what doesn't. You've shipped real work, learned from what broke, and built things people actually use.

Must haves

• 6--7+ yearsin digital product design

• Experience from consumer tech products with hardware/software integration

• Has seen at least one product move through concept → validation → launch → scale

Nice to haves

• Experience working in early-stage, fast-moving product environments

• Has navigated non-linear product development where priorities shift and iteration is constant

• Experience designing for multiple user types and journeys
