Job Summary:

We are seeking friendly and efficient Waiters to provide outstanding service to our guests at The Conduit Oslo. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring table presentation, processing payments, and maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant. A key aspect of this role is your knowledge and confidence in handling alcoholic beverages, including basic cocktails and wine service.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.

• Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items and beverage options.

• Demonstrate proficiency in beverage service, including knowledge of basic cocktails, wine varietals, and proper pouring techniques.

• Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.

• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, adhering to service standards.

• Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any requests or concerns.

• Clear tables efficiently after guests have finished their meals.

• Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.

• Prepare and present guest bills.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.

• Perform general cleaning duties within the restaurant to ensure a presentable and tidy environment.

• Assist with dishwashing and glass cleaning duties as needed.

• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a serving role within a restaurant or similar environment is essential.

• Demonstrable knowledge of alcoholic beverages, and wine knowledge.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments.

• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Norwegian is a plus.
