Industriforsikring AS is Norsk Hydro's insurance captive and proudly holds the title of the world's oldest existing captive, established in 1920. We play a vital role in protecting Hydro's business, operating as a fully licensed insurer with global reach. We offer most non-life lines of business and manage the full spectrum of insurance services - from underwriting and policy issuance to claims handling - while collaborating closely with leading reinsurers worldwide.

We are now looking for an Insurance Manager to take responsibility for Hydro's Cargo program and other insurance products, contributing to strengthening our position and shaping future solutions. You will join a small, dedicated team of four, working closely with colleagues in Hydro's Insurance Department. Together, we form a global team of 14 professionals.

What you will be doing

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the Cargo insurance program - including underwriting, administration, and claims handling (in-house and external)

• Act as system owner for our insurance platform "Paris"; serve as the main contact for system provider Noria, coordinate development processes and day-to-day actions

• Work with insurance products including CAR, terrorism, cyber, PDBI, Stop Loss and more

• Ensure efficient handling of natural catastrophe claims and internal administration of the Norwegian Natural Perils Pool

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes and regulatory reporting

What will make you successful?

• Minimum five years' experience in insurance, with strong knowledge of Marine Cargo insurance and related processes. Background in underwriting, administration, and claims handling is an advantage.

• Interest in and hands-on experience with insurance systems, preferably Paris from Noria.

• Proactive and solution-oriented, with the confidence to take ownership and deliver results.

• Highly structured and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all tasks.

• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, both in English and Norwegian.

• Bachelor level degree is required, and educational or professional background in law, finance, or similar is considered beneficial.
