Being the leader comes with responsibility -- and UECC doesn’t just lead, we pioneer. UECC were the first, world-wide, to introduce LNG to car carriers in 2016. We are still the only operator in Europe to operate on LNG -- which is now close to half our fleet. To further reduce emissions all our LNG vessels are now running on BioLNG - as the first in Europe. We were the first to introduce biofuel at scale in Europe. We are continuously testing new fuels to further reduce our carbon footprint. We have the track record to say to the world that we are the leader -- but being a leader means we never stop -- what are the next steps for UECC? Are you the person to lead us there?

At UECC we pride ourselves on punching above our weight. Large organizations might get slowed down by bureaucracy. We solve problems in small teams and when UECC do Sustainability we rely on individuals to passionately drive us forward to challenge the status quo.

Reducing carbon emissions is easy but doing it efficiently and cleverly is not. We have created commercial products to ensure alignment with our customers. Major OEMs have partnered with UECC on our journey to get to net zero. As part of this role, it will be your responsibility to build existing partnerships and form new ones together with our sales team.

Experience and competence requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in sustainability

• A university degree (BA or Master) in a relevant field such as Science, Sustainability or Economics

• Able to liaise between different departments and external vendors

• Skilled in delivering presentations, public speaking, and strong ability to communicate

  about sustainability, energy, net zero and zero waste

• Proactive, operational and structured in situations that require clarity, action and goal orientation

• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English

The position is based in Oslo, Norway, and the right candidate will also be required to live in the close area.
