As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Method Discipline Lead -- Piping for an exciting project based in Stord.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?-
Act as the main contact person for the piping method discipline internally and externally within the project.

Ensure that method processes are followed throughout all project phases.

Coordinate and secure high-quality technical output from the method engineering team.

Lead the discipline team, delegate tasks, and report progress and results.

Be responsible for discipline-specific schedules and ensure alignment with the overall project plan.

Ensure that construction- and HSSE-friendly design principles are implemented.

Oversee the development and delivery of method statements and work processes.

Conduct group meetings, share lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Actively participate in the development of departmental work processes and governing documents.

Technical or bachelor’s degree (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education).

Minimum 2 years of experience from EPC processes within topside and facilities or renewable segments.

Strong knowledge of work processes within the piping discipline.

Experience with construction is highly valued.

Proficiency in relevant software: E3D, PDMS, MIPS, NAVIS, PROARC, and Autodesk NavisWorks.

Fluent in English and Norwegian (minimum B2 level).
