About the position
We are currently seeking an SFO (after-school care) assistant who can contribute to the development of SFO at BISS Sentrum.
The position is part-time supply/vikar, (0%), and temporary.
Working hours are:
Mornings - 07:15 to 08:45 Monday to Friday
Afternoons -14:30 to 16:45 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 14:00 to 16:45 Wednesday afternoons
School holidays - eight hours between 07:30 and 16:30 during the school holiday periods in February, June, August, and October.
SFO is closed during the school holidays at Easter, Christmas and for the month of July.
Working hours are as needed to cover staff absence and/or illness and for the full-day summer holiday sessions in June and August.
The position is available from June 2026 until July 2027.
We reserve the right to interview and appoint candidates before the closing date.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Implementing SFO activities as directed by the SFO leader
- Contributing to the planning of the before and after school SFO activity programme
- Working alongside other SFO team members during the school term and school holidays
- Communicating effectively with the children, the school administration and parents
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant experience in an educational setting
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Able to create good relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Good English skills, both written and oral (B2 minimum)
- Experience working in an international environment
- A proven record of organising activities for children
- Experience or knowledge of the IB programmes is an advantage
- An ability to take initiative and contribute to the development of SFO
- Experience or knowledge of the IB programmes is an advantage
