Product Manager

About the Role

At StormGeo, we work with weather, oceans, maps, APIs, forecasts, satellites, and increasingly AI-driven services. It sounds serious, but we also enjoy solving problems in practical ways and collaborating across teams.

We are looking for a Product Manager to help shape and improve the platforms and services that power many of StormGeo’s products. You will work closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Data, and GIS to make weather data easier to use, easier to scale, and easier to build on. Your mission would to ensure that StormGeo’s data, API, and map service products are consistent, AI-ready, and easy to consume, enabling internal product and development teams to work faster with clear ownership and priorities.

📍This position is based in Bergen, or Oslo, Norway. Other StormGeo office locations may be considered as well.

Main responsibilities

• Help shape and improve our data, API, and map service products.
• Work closely with developers, domain experts, and product teams across StormGeo.
• Prioritize backlogs, define requirements, and support product planning.
• Improve data quality, consistency, usability, and scalability.
• Use feedback and usage insights to guide improvements.
• Contribute to standards for APIs, geospatial services, and data structures.
• Help teams move faster with reliable and easy-to-use services.

Core requirements

• Experience with product management or technical product ownership.
• Familiarity with APIs, data platforms, GIS, or map-based services.
• Ability to turn complex topics into clear priorities and requirements.
• Enjoy working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Curiosity and good collaboration skills.
