This is more than just a support role – you’ll be a trusted expert and advisor, working hands-on with state-of-the-art technologies and taking part in both operational execution and long-term innovation. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team, collaborating closely with Senior IT Engineers, vessel technicians, and project leads.

The position is part of the onshore team structure of Operational IT and you will be seated in our office at Killingøy.

Some of the exciting tasks you will have include: 

• Install and maintain IT systems onboard vessels, including network and firewall management
• Ensure operational, secure, and safe IT systems (on-prem and cloud)
• Provide 3rd-line support for vessel technicians and offshore operations
• Participate in mobilization planning, execution, and on-job training
• Travel offshore post-mobilization when needed
• Contribute to improvements and development of offshore IT systems and procedures

We believe that you fulfil some of the following: 

• Degree in IT or a related field (relevant experience may compensate)
• Hands-on technical experience in system administration and IT infrastructure, including operating systems, server and clients. Windows, Linux and Android based
• Familiar with Entra ID, Intune and its security features
• Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and verbal

You are proactive and reliable, with a structured mindset and strong attention to detail. You enjoy taking ownership of your work, but also value collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams. Whether you’re troubleshooting an urgent issue or planning a long-term upgrade, you bring a solution-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.

Your communication skills help you connect across departments, support technicians, and translate complex problems into practical solutions. You’re also curious – you stay updated on emerging technologies and actively seek ways to improve processes and systems.
