In our Maintenance Repair Organization/Technical Operations OSL we have 3 new exiting roles coming up. Our new Production Team Managers will manage a team of high qualified personnel, assign the right skills based on the midterm plan and make sure staffing needs are planned and covered in advance. Handle short-term absences and review resource requests to find cost-effective solutions, and keep manpower balanced between line and base operations.
In this role your main objectives are Manpower Management, General Administrative tasks and Team leadership.
You will directly manage a team of 30-50 high qualified aircraft technicians, mechanics and apprentices.
Production Team Manager is located at Norwegian Hangar at OSL.
· Following up skill requests from planning (all bases in country)
· Plan holiday + 14 days (all bases in country)
· Cover up the shifts with regards to skill, requirements and sick absence (all bases in country)
· Follow up on regulatory requirements for his/her direct reports (NAV, overtime use etc.)
· Conduct a minimum of one 1-1 session with direct reports and do follow up.
· Practical onboarding and offboarding of employees
· Coordinate requirements from planning to team leaders on base and line.
· Communicate topics from management to the nightshift
· Prepare candidate list for additional training and provide to LSM, based on personal abilities, seniority, requirements.
· Follow up on own direct reports after completed training
· Assessment planning, assign assessor and time
· Taking care of daily non-operational tasks like reporting hangar issues and completing equipment checklists, and assist with tasks assigned by the LSM.
· Act as stand in for the LSM
Working hours:
2-Shift pattern day/afternoon weekdays, covered hours: 07.00-01.30. (3 Full-time employees)
· Experience in manpower management, including skill assignment, resource planning, and addressing short-term absences.
· Experience in leadership, managing larger teams.
· Experience with onboarding and offboarding staff.
· Experience handling administrative tasks, such as reporting faults, running equipment checklists.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements (NAV, overtime use, etc.).
· Experience planning assessments and coordinating training.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Effective collaboration skills
· Detail-oriented to ensure compliance with safety, training, and operational procedures.
· Problem-solving mindset, especially in addressing absences and resource constraints.
· Experience as a Production Team Leader or Line Station Manager.
· Experience in communicating and coordinating with management and night shift teams.
· Strong background in assessment planning and regulatory compliance.
· Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
