Ocean Installer’s operations focus on all aspects of offshore marine construction, encompassing both the traditional oil and gas and emerging renewables markets. The company is currently expanding its service offerings and will continue to work across all global markets.
The Asset Management group in Ocean Installer is looking for additional team members to assist with a growing amount of vessel related support tasks. The Vessel Superintendent will follow up daily operational issues on one or more of Ocean Installer’s vessels and communicates daily with the operational management on board and with our marine partner’s onshore organization.
Duties and responsibilities
- Follow up daily operational issues on our vessels
- Ensure that the vessel gets onshore support as and when required
- Communicate with ship owner on technical and operational issues
- Act as the single point of contact towards vessel owner
- Follow up performance of the vessel owner and ensure that the duties under the Charter Parties are carried out satisfactorily
- Follow up internal services such as IT, HSEQ, procurement and logistics etc. to ensure that necessary services are carried out on shore to support the vessel operation
- Be the link between the company's project needs and vessel owners
- Plan, organize and execute small modification scopes
- Take part and/or lead equipment mobilizations on vessels (e.g. RDS, VLS, carousel)
- Take lead on readiness campaigns for chartered vessels
- General support to Commercial department and projects
- Handle vessel documentation
- Ensure client approvals and vessel assurance are carried out in due time
- Develop operational budgets for the vessel
- Interface to offshore projects and ensure that vessel specifications and capabilities are communicated
- Update vessel information at regular intervals
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience from the maritime part of the offshore industry
- Bachelor or Master's degree within relevant area
- Experience from working in a ship yard or with mobilizations of offshore vessels
- Experience from sub sea construction activity
- Experience from a vessel owner company is preferred, but not an absolute requirement

- Results oriented with the ability to act decisively
- Confidence to work across all levels of the business
- Practical minded and able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in!
