As the Director of HR Norway, you will align HR initiatives with the company's business strategy by driving organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management to support overall business growth and performance. You will lead and oversee the daily HR operations to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for maintaining alignment with local labor laws, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and supporting the HR team in delivering high-quality services to both managers and employees. Your work will be instrumental in fostering a strong people culture and enabling operational excellence across our organisation.

Lead and support the team in achieving set goals and secure that the team holds the right competence/skills to reach these.

Develop, implement and maintain national HR policies and procedures that comply with legal standards and align with the organisation's goals.

Streamline HR processes using technology and best practices to increase efficiency and improve service delivery.

Comply with labor laws and regulations, and handle employment contracts, terminations, and employee relations effectively.

Manage HR systems and databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Guide and support HR team members, providing training and development, performance feedback, and goal alignment.

Collaborate with other departments to integrate HR functions with business operations.

Monitor and analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions for improvement.

Ensure effective resolution of employee relations issues and foster a positive work environment.

Manage union relations, hereunder support tariff negotiations.

Resource planning to ensure that support capacity is in line with what is needed.

Strong knowledge of the Norwegian labor law, HR principles, practices, and procedures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to different stakeholders.

Experience with managing unions and union relations/tariff agreements.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5+ years in a managerial role.

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Knowledge of HR best practices and trends, and familiarity with HR software and systems.

Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.

Experience working with unions and CBA’s.
-
Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
