As a Junior Data Analyst, you will work with diverse datasets from our global operations to generate actionable insights that support decision-making across R&D, farming operations, and sustainability initiatives. You will be part of building the future of data-driven aquaculture, including developing innovative ways to interface with our data through AI agents and advanced analytics tools.

This is an ideal position for someone who wants to apply their analytical skills to real-world challenges while working with the latest technology in AI and data science. Key responsibilities

• Analyze data from farming operations, R&D projects, and technical systems to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
• Support the development of proactive data insights that help stakeholders make informed decisions
• Build and prototype innovative data interfaces, including AI agents and automated analytics solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, farming operations, and technology to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights
• Stay current with developments in AI, machine learning, and data analytics, and explore how these can be applied to aquaculture challenges

What we're looking for

• Recent graduate or final-year student with a degree in data science/AI, biology, mathematics, aquaculture, or a related field
• Programming experience in Python or SQL (or strong willingness to learn quickly)
• Experience with AI tools or frameworks (e.g., LLMs, machine learning libraries, prompt engineering) through coursework, projects, or personal exploration
• Analytical mindset with strong communication skills -- able to translate complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences
• Curious, self-motivated, and eager to explore new technologies and methodologies

Location

This position is based in Bergen, Norway. Some travel may be required to support projects across Mowi's operations. How to apply
