Ship Operator - Chemical Tankers

Seatrans Chemical Tankers AS is an international chemical tanker operator with a strong focus on efficient operations, quality, and modern working methods. We are now looking to strengthen our operations team with a Ship Operator. In this role, you will be closely involved in the day-to-day operation of our fleet and play an important part in ensuring smooth and efficient execution of vessel voyages.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ship Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day operational follow-up of assigned vessels

• Voyage coordination, including port calls and cargo operations

• Acting as a key point of contact between vessels, operations, and commercial functions

• Close cooperation with chartering, brokers, port agents, and onboard personnel

• Contributing to efficient vessel utilization through planning and operational oversight

• Handling operational documentation, reporting, and freight-related follow-up

• Using and contributing to the development of digital tools and operational systems

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate who is motivated to take responsibility and grow within ship operations.

Preferred background:

• Maritime, shipping, or logistics-related education

• Experience from shipping operations, logistics, or seagoing service

• Experience with chemical tankers is an advantage, but not a requirement

• Good understanding of commercial ship operations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Norwegian
