Project Accountant/Project Controller

We are looking for Project Accountant/Project Controller to strengthen our Finance team and to support our portfolio of M&M (Maintenance & Modifications) contracts and projects in Stavanger. In this position, you will handle a variety of financial and administrative tasks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

About the position

As a Project Accountant / Project Controller, you will manage invoicing, cost allocations, personnel mobilization, reporting, and forecasting. Responsibilities and tasks include

• Create and maintain project financials in SAP, including:

  • Project start-up and close-out

  • Creating, modifying, and closing WBS structures

  • Setting up sales orders

  • Monthly project account closing

  • Personnel allocation and categorization

  • Managing incoming and outgoing invoices

• Prepare external financial reports for clients, and support in delivering internal financial reports to Project Management and Finance

• Support project forecasting and budgeting processes

• Conduct cost and profitability analyses and identify opportunities for improvement

• Proactively seek and implement improvements within your area of responsibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably M&M contracts

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Ability to build and maintain high-quality relationships internally and externally

• Previous experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel is an advantage

• Fluency in Norwegian and English

• Solid business understanding
