Optio is a FinTech SaaS company with offices in Oslo (HQ), Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. With help from our internal finance experts, we develop software to simplify all aspects of our clients' employee equity programs, meaning option programs, share programs, and more.

About the roleWe see great design as an important part of unlocking new possibilities and enhancing equity compensation's functions. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for UI and UX design for our products, from concept to completion. As a designer, you are part of the design competence at Optio. On a daily basis, you will work as a part of a cross-functional, agile team and collaborate with other skilled and passionate designers, engineers, domain experts, product owners and more, to create experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and delightful. In addition, you'll have the chance to influence our design strategy and elevate the overall quality of our design work.
Responsibilities & Tasks- UI and UX design for our products, from ideation to launch, working as a part of a cross-functional, agile team to ensure that our products meet user needs and business goals.
- Conduct user research and testing to gain insights into user behavior and preferences.
- Develop wire frames, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate design concepts and solutions effectively.
- Co-own and maintain design systems that ensure consistency and scalability across all products.
- Continuously evaluate and improve your design process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate workshops with users, stakeholders, and the team.
Qualifications
- Degree in design or a related field.
- 5+ years of product design experience, focusing on UX/UI design.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional design solutions for complex products.
- Excellent sense of typography, layout, and general design principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, agile teams.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of design systems and ability to create and maintain design guidelines.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience working in cross-functional, agile product teams.
- Interest in and talent for UX writing.
- Interest in / experience from SaaS and financial services.
