We are looking for ATEX Coordinator (MC-Field Support)

Job Description:
  • The ATEX Coordinator will act as the project's main contact person and technical authority during the Mechanical Completion phase. The role is responsible for ensuring correct execution, high inspection quality, and compliance with Ex requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as the main ATEX focal point for all ATEX-related matters
  • Interpret and apply EN/IEC 60079 standards, project Ex strategies, and client requirements
  • Provide technical clarification and hands-on guidance to MC/Ex field inspectors
  • Perform spot checks of completed initial Ex inspections
  • Verify that MCCR-Z-99 checklists are correctly and fully completed
  • Ensure consistency between installed equipment, inspection records, and Ex documentation
  • Identify systematic Ex errors and initiate corrective actions
  • Share lessons learned across teams and locations
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree within relevant discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of Norwegian regulatory requirements (Havtil) and ATEX directives
  • Proven experience with Ex inspection and verification in accordance with EN/IEC 60079-14 and 60079-17
  • Ability to review, validate, and challenge Ex inspection documentation
  • Solid practical knowledge of Ex equipment, types of protection, Ex marking, and installation practices
  • Experience providing technical support and guidance to field inspectors
  • Ability to ensure alignment between installation, inspection, and documentation
