Technical Support Engineer

In this role, you will be the main technical point of contact for our customers. Internally, you will be responsible for following up and resolving technical issues related to our systems. The position requires both technical expertise and strong collaboration skills.

So – what are your skills? 

Duties and responsibilities

• Extensive technical support on our products and systems, both to customers and internally within the organization
• Act as a resource for training on our products, both internally and externally
• Assist in testing and implementing new technical solutions in collaboration with our product department
• Some travel must be expected during certain periods
• Opportunity to take part in our on-call duty rotation
• Act as a subject matter expert and deliver technical assistance for automation systems, energy and power management systems, switchboards, generators, batteries, propulsion and thruster motors, transformers and frequency converters.
  
  

Qualifications

• Upper secondary school / Technical college – Certificate of apprenticeship (2 years) / University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Technical background with experience from the maritime industry and technical consulting
• 2-5 Years working with power distribution systems, frequency converters or automation systems such as alarm and monitoring and power management.
• Experience as an electrician, service technician, or marine electrician
• Good computer skills
• Strong technical and commercial communication skills in both English and Norwegian, written and spoken
