Grieg Seafood is looking for an analytical and commercially oriented Business Controller to support our sales and downstream operations. You will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance, combining financial analysis and controlling with direct exposure to customers, markets and operational decision-making.
The role covers customer and product profitability, credit risk, cost controlling, forecasting and operational reporting, providing insights that support better business decisions and profitable growth. With broad exposure across the Grieg Seafood value chain, the position reports professionally to the CFO and works closely with the CCO and commercial organization.
Key responsibilities- Analyse customer and product profitability, price performance, market development and other key commercial drivers
- Manage credit risk, including credit insurance, credit limits, financial exposure, currency hedging and payment-related processes
- Perform cost controlling across purchasing, processing, sales and distribution
- Prepare and present management reporting, operational analysis and month-end reporting of KPIs and key business drivers
- Develop forecasts, scenarios and business cases to support commercial and operational decision-making
- Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance to provide financial insight and decision support
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting, financial processes, systems, data quality and internal controls
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration or a related field
- Relevant experience from business controlling, sales controlling, project controlling, external audit or a comparable finance role
- Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding commercial and operational performance and commercial decisions impact financial performance
- Good understanding of financial statements, profitability drivers, financial processes
- Strong capabilities in Excel and an interest in using Power BI and other analytical tools to turn data into actionable insight
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Analytical, curious and commercially minded
- Fluent in Norwegian and English
Experience from audit, seafood, FMCG, trading, manufacturing, logistics or another business with complex value chains and high transaction volumes will be considered an advantage.
