We are strengthening our Quality and Risk Management (QRM) team in Hammerfest and are looking for a dedicated QRM engineer/senior engineer to join our project organization at Melkøya.

About the position
We are seeking an experienced QRM engineer/senior engineer to manage quality and risk activities within our project organizations at Melkøya in Hammerfest. Previous experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry is advantageous. You will work independently and as a part of an open and approachable team. You are self-driven and motivated to enhance and modernize your area of expertise. You will be responsible for quality and risk management in projects where you will demonstrate leadership and prioritize tasks effectively. This position requires full-time presence in Hammerfest. Remote work or commuting arrangements will not be accepted. Candidates must reside in Hammerfest or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Actively contribute to the project management team and support decision-making

• Lead and manage risk processes, including identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies

• Establish and implement quality and risk management plans in line with internal and external requirements

• Coordinate and follow up on nonconformities, audits, and verification activities

• Facilitate lessons learned and improvement initiatives across the projects

• Serve as the primary contact for QRM-related matters with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities

• Provide training and updates to project personnel on QRM tools and processes

• Contribute to the ongoing development of quality and risk management in Aibel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. Extensive experience may compensate for formal education.

• Experience in quality and risk management within the oil and gas industry is preferred.

• Certifications in quality management, auditing, or risk management are advantageous.

• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
