As Dolphitech continues to expand internationally and develop the next generation of its technology, the company is seeking an experienced NDT Application Specialist to join the team in Oslo.

The Opportunity

The role has three core objectives:

  • Support and develop existing customers by helping them get the most from the dolphicam2 platform, including training, demonstrations and application support.
  • Support the commercial team in winning new customers by demonstrating the technology, understanding prospective customers' inspection requirements and showing how Dolphitech can address their needs.
  • Work closely with Engineering to test and evaluate current and next-generation technology, providing practical NDT feedback that helps shape future products and applications.

This role offers an experienced NDT professional the opportunity to move beyond traditional inspection and play a direct role in the application, demonstration and development of emerging NDT technology.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Application Support
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers using the dolphicam2 platform.
  • Understand customer inspection requirements and translate these into practical applications of Dolphitech technology.
  • Deliver online and face-face demonstrations, trainings and technical support.
  • Respond to customer and prospect technical queries and support the commercial team in customer engagements.
  • Travel to customer sites as required.
NDT Testing & Reporting
  • Conduct NDT examinations, application trials and testing using Dolphitech technology.
  • Test customer samples and assess technology performance against specific inspection requirements.
  • Develop appropriate inspection approaches and methodologies.
  • Analyse results and produce clear technical reports.
Product & Technology Development
  • Work closely with Engineering to test and evaluate current and next-generation technology.
  • Provide practical NDT feedback on transducer, electronics and system performance.
  • Contribute to trials and validation of new products, features and applications.
  • Translate real-world inspection requirements into practical input for product development.
  • Help identify new applications and opportunities for Dolphitech technology.
Commercial Support
  • Support the commercial team in customer meetings, demonstrations and technical discussions.
  • Provide technical and application expertise throughout the sales process.
  • Help identify customer use cases and opportunities where Dolphitech technology can add value.
  • Support technical proposals, evaluations and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Represent Dolphitech at relevant industry events and customer meetings.
Experience & Qualifications
  • NDT Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Ultrasonics / Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  • At least 5 years' practical experience using NDT in the field.
  • Practical understanding of ultrasonic inspection techniques and applications, such as PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing) or related inspections technologies.
  • Experience inspecting composite structures or other advanced materials.
  • Experience supporting customers or providing technical/application support for NDT equipment.
  • Experience conducting demonstrations, trials or product evaluations.
  • Experience working alongside engineering or product-development teams.
  • Engineering, technical or scientific educational background.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Norwegian language skills a plus.

Location & Travel

The role is based in Oslo, Norway, with flexibility to work independently and remotely when appropriate.

Travel will be required to support customers, demonstrations, testing, sales activity and industry events.
