Ready to shape the future of space and defense technology?
Eidel is an engineering company specializing in electronics, software, and system design for space and defense. Our core expertise includes remote sensing, remote control, and encryption. The markets we operate in are experiencing significant growth, and this trend is expected to continue for decades to come. With a rapidly growing portfolio of projects, Eidel is now looking for a Project Manager to join our team and help turn ambitious technology into successful customer deliveries.
About the role
As a Project Manager at Eidel, you will lead complex, high-tech development projects within the space and defense sectors. Many of our projects run over several years and involve multidisciplinary teams, advanced technology, and customers with demanding technical and contractual requirements.
You will take responsibility for assigned projects from contract handover through development, delivery, and final customer acceptance. This means working closely with engineers, customers, partners, and management to ensure that projects meet their contractual, technical, financial, and schedule requirements.
Long development cycles require structure and patience, while changing technical and customer requirements demand flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly.
At Eidel, you will have significant autonomy and responsibility in how you lead your projects. This reflects one of our core values: Empowerment through trust and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Take overall responsibility for assigned projects from contract handover through development, delivery, and customer acceptance.
Lead and support multidisciplinary project teams.
Develop, maintain, and follow up project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with contractual requirements and Eidel's internal processes.
Manage project scope and initiate and prepare change requests when required.
Identify, assess, and follow up project risks and opportunities in accordance with Eidel's quality system.
Maintain close communication with customers and ensure clear and professional project follow-up.
Coordinate and collaborate with external partners and suppliers.
Monitor project budget, progress, and key milestones, and report status to management.
Prepare relevant internal and external project documentation and status reports.
Desired background:
Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline, or other relevant education and experience.
Minimum three years of experience in project management, preferably from a technical, engineering, production, or product development environment. Experience leading larger or technically complex projects is an advantage.
Good understanding of project management methods and principles. Experience with PRINCE2 or similar methodologies is an advantage.
Experience from space, defense, or other high-tech industries is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Experience working with customers, contracts, and multidisciplinary technical teams is an advantage.
Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
Personal qualities we look for:
Structured and comfortable creating and maintaining an overview in technically complex projects.
Analytical and interested in understanding challenges from different perspectives.
Enjoys leading and supporting colleagues and creating an environment where different disciplines work effectively together.
Takes initiative and drives activities forward while having the patience required for long-term development projects.
Comfortable making decisions when not all information is available and knows when to involve others.
Communicates clearly and professionally with colleagues, customers, partners, and management and is comfortable voicing opinions and raising concerns when necessary.
Security Clearance
Applicants must hold Norwegian citizenship and be eligible for Norwegian security clearance (SECRET / NATO SECRET).
