We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Specialist with a strategic, structured, and analytical mind, along with a keen eye for detail to join our team in Oslo.
Nordic Financial CERT (NFCERT) serves as a key hub for cyber security and financial crime prevention efforts across the Nordic financial sector. With over 200 banks and finance institutions as members, and a close partnership involving major stakeholders such as financial entities, law enforcement, and all five central banks, our goal is to strengthen resilience through collaboration. We combine operational excellence with innovative data-sharing to tackle cyber and financial crime head-on.
Your role
You will play a key part of our newest strategic initiative to strengthen our capacity to prevent financial crime in the Nordics. As our newest FCP Specialist, you will develop private-public partnerships, support our members with analysis of fraudulent actors and incidents, and contribute to further developing our FCP service area.
As you will collaborate closely with our members and partners, strong communications skills are essential, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and tailored to the audience. You should have a genuine interest in deepening your knowledge in data sharing technologies, analytical tools and preventing financial crime.
Key responsibilities include:-
You will coordinate efforts and information sharing among members and partners, including law enforcement and government institutions, to enhance collaboration.
-
You will facilitate and lead information-sharing meetings and forums, driving discussions and outcomes.
-
You will collect and analyze data and information, identifying trends, methods, and actors involved in fraudulent activity, and develop actionable intelligence in the FCP area.
-
You will be part of our on-call team, providing critical support to our members during investigations and incidents.
-
You will play a central role in developing and improving our FCP services, including spearheading new data-sharing initiatives.
-
Preferably five or more years of experience with FCP and/or fraud investigations from the financial sector, law enforcement, consultancy and/or forensic services.
-
Good technical understanding and insight into how cyber criminals and fraudsters operate.
-
Experience with cyber security, threat intelligence or crypto currency investigations is an advantage, but not a requirement.
-
At least a bachelor's degree within a relevant field. Substantial and relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
-
Candidates must be eligible for security clearance at level "HEMMELIG" in Norway
-
High proficiency in at least one Nordic language and English (both written and oral)
-
The role is based in Oslo, Norway, but travel within the Nordics is to be expected
-
Be part of NFCERTs on-call duty rotation
Why Join NFCERT?
This role is a unique opportunity for a central role in a mission-driven organisation at the forefront of financial crime prevention and cyber security collaboration in the Nordic region. You will work with a passionate team and a committed membership base to make a tangible difference, while shaping NFCERT’s future in an evolving and critical field.
We offer:
-
a competitive salary, pension, and insurance package
-
five weeks' yearly paid vacation and one additional week of paid leave
-
extra compensation to be part of our on-call rotation
-
freedom to shape your own role as part of our new strategic initiative
-
professional growth, meaningful work and being able to make a positive difference
-
a dynamic and agile work environment in a small team where everyone matters
-
social events several times a year
