Own the financial control function at an AI company building autonomous reasoning engines

About the role

Manta Technologies is an AI company based in Tjuvholmen, Oslo, building an autonomous reasoning engine that connects to business systems and acts on commercial logic to drive growth. As Senior Business Controller, you will be the analytical engine behind our commercial and operational decisions --- sitting close to leadership and playing a direct role in how the company scales.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership position. There is no large finance team behind you. You will build and maintain the processes, reporting, and analytical frameworks the business relies on.

What you'll do

• Analyse customer and product profitability, price performance, market development and other key commercial drivers
• Perform cost controlling across purchasing, processing, sales and distribution
• Prepare and present management reporting, operational analysis and month-end reporting of KPIs and key business drivers
• Develop forecasts, scenarios and business cases to support commercial and operational decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting, financial processes, systems, data quality and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with Norwegian accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Who you are

You have at least five years of experience in business controlling, financial analysis, or a closely related finance role. You are confident across the full cycle of commercial analysis, forecasting, and management reporting. You have a solid working knowledge of Norwegian accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and you are fluent in both Norwegian and English at a professional level.

Nice to have: You have worked in an early-stage or fast-growing company where you built financial processes rather than stepped into established ones. You are comfortable operating independently and taking full ownership of a function. You communicate financial findings clearly to people outside finance --- including founders and engineers who think in systems, not spreadsheets.
