Summer Intern - Field Engineer

As a Field Engineer Intern at Øglænd System, you'll gain hands-on experience, work on real-life projects, and learn from industry experts. You'll be involved in both technical and practical aspects of engineering while developing skills that will support your future career.

Key Responsibilities: Øglænd System Product Engineering:

• Support the design and development of cable support systems, including tray and ladder configurations for industrial and commercial applications.

• Assist with CAD modelling and technical documentation

• Contribute to testing and optimization of engineering solutions

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications

Hilti Fastening on Steel Trainings:

• Support Hilti fastening-on-steel training sessions

• Prepare training materials and demonstrations

• Assist with workshops for customers and internal teams

• Promote safe and efficient installation practices

On-Site Support and Surveys:

• Provide technical support during installations

• Participate in site surveys and assessments

• Document findings and contribute to engineering reports

• Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving on project sites

What We're Looking For:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related field (2nd or 3rd year preferred).

• Basic knowledge of CAD software and familiarity with construction materials/standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.

• Good communication abilities for training and team collaboration.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (up to 30% of time).

• No prior professional experience required. Enthusiasm and a quick learning curve are key!
