The Strategic Procurement department in Norwegian consist of 9 employees, divided into four teams. Our teams are Airport and Ground Operations, IT, Fuel and Technical. This position will report to Senior Category Manager Technical, and the team currently consists of 2 employees. You will preferably work from our office in Oslo, but we are also open to locate the position in our Support Office in either Riga or Barcelona.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Contribute to the Company’s cost reduction target for the category through strategic and tactical sourcing and contracting.

Source all contracts and lead negotiations.

Ensure that all procurement activities are carried out in line with the company governance principles, compliance rules and best practice.

Develop and manage relationships with vendors, understand contractual requirements and business strategies to negotiate and influence effectively at different levels.

Manage supplier risk to protect the company from financial, operational, and reputational damage.

Contribute to developing and implementing the category strategic plan and sourcing plan for technical to ensure best value for volume and specification.

Drive collaboration and engagement with key colleagues to develop processes, best practice, and innovation.

Work closely with Finance Controlling to monitor costs effectively. Input in budget preparation and forecast revisions. Monitor and address variances.

Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve commercial and contractual disputes, in particular suppliers with high level of complexity and/or high spend.

Lead and manage cross-functional projects.

Contribute to the development of the procurement function and its promotion within the organisation.

Other ad hoc duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature and responsibilities of the role.
You are our ideal candidate if:

Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in Procurement in an Airline Technical Department or MRO’s.

Preferred University degree on Engineering or Economics.

Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.

Strategic mindset.

Proven ability to manage high value complex negotiations.

Ability to develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at different levels.

Ability to work autonomously, proactively and on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Organizational skill and ability to prioritize a high workload effectively.

Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment, by inputting and participating actively in the required changes.

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team.

Numerical and analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written English.

Willingness to travel and work in a multi-site/location and multi-cultural environment.
