Project description
The position is within our recently EU-funded project, called 3D-CIRCULAR (Digital Deep tech Driven Circular Economy).
3D-CIRCULAR is a pan-European initiative dedicated to powering the EU’s twin green, digital, and sustainable transition by closing the skills gap. Through an ambitious alliance of industry and research partners, the project is designing next-generation master’s and doc-toral programmes, as well as certification pathways that blend deep-tech innovation with circular economy and sustainability principles. We also conduct cutting-edge scientific re-search in 3D-CIRCULAR in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Connected Systems, Blockchain, and Data Analytics to advance the technological and sustainability foundations of the circular economy. By integrating these research activities with teaching and training, the project fosters a dynamic knowledge and innovation ecosystem where sustainability, research, and education reinforce one another.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering educational modules for master’s, while also conducting applied and theoretical research that advances the technological dimension of the circular economy, such as Generative AI for Digital Product Passports, AI-driven Information Systems for material flow management, and Digital Twins for smart manufacturing ecosystems. This research will be conducted in collaboration with multiple international partners across Europe from both academia and industry.
