The Role

As the Workshop Mechanic at reTyre, you won't just be another cog in the machine; you'll be the oil that keeps the gears turning smoothly. You'll be the go-to person for all things practical, from managing state-of-the-art tools to bringing engineering concepts to life. Reporting directly to our Senior Technical Coordinator, you'll be an indispensable part of our mission to redefine the tire industry and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our engineers focused on innovation.

You'll be the backbone of our engineering and technical teams. You'll assist in the physical development of products, manage tools and equipment, and ensure that our workshops are in top condition. 

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 3D printers, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
• Assist in building products and machines, machining parts, and testing assemblies.
• Manage tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and readily available.
• Assist in injection molding processes, including mounting molds into machines.
• Test newly developed production equipment and methods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workshop.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in a workshop setting.
• Knowledge of welding, metalworking, and the use of power tools.
• Fast learner with a knack for problem-solving.
• No formal engineering degree required, but relevant experience is a must.
