Purpose of position: Responsibility for leading the technical aspects of a project, coordinating engineering teams, and ensuring technical solutions adhere to quality, time, and financial goals. Bridge the gap between engineering and project execution, work closely with project managers, and may also engage with end users to manage technical deliveries. The Project Lead Engineer reports directly to the VP Projects and Project Director. The position is based at Lilleakerveien 2F, with additional responsibilities at relevant project sites as required. This is a hands-on, operational role that requires a significant amount of travel and active follow-up on-site to ensure technical progress and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibility: As Project Lead Engineer you will assist Project Manager. Technical Leadership in studies and project execution by guiding engineering teams to ensure the technical quality and success og project deliverables. Your responsibilities include:
- Coordination and Planning: Leading the technical work to meet specifications, safety requirements, and project timelines.
- End- user/ customer Interaction: Maintaining contact with end-user/ customer regarding technical aspects and ensuring their needs are met.
- Collaboration: Working with project managers to align on objectives and project deliverables.
- Technical Improvement: Working with the technical department to develop and implement innovative ideas to improve technical solutions.
Personal characteristics: To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate strong attention to detail and possess excellent multitasking and time-management skills. You are a confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal abilities and a natural talent for leading and coordinating diverse engineering teams. Your problem-solving skills are sharp, and you approach challenges with a structured and solution-oriented mindset. A strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and deliverables is essential. Additionally, a genuine interest in sustainability and the green transition will be considered a valuable asset.
